You can import data for your Departments, Categories, Projects and Users if you have access to a CSV data file.
The maximum record import for each of the admin sections is as follows:
Users: 1000 records
Categories: 500 records
Departments: 500 records
Projects: 1000 records
Import data to populate the following fields in each area. Create a CSV file containing the required columns:
Departments
- Department Name
- Reference (optional but recommended)
Categories
- Category Name
- Description (optional)
- Reference (optional but recommended)
Projects
- Project Name
- Description (optional)
- Reference (optional but recommended)
- Billable (Yes or No required)
Users
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Reference (Optional)
- Department Name
- Statement Identifier
Import a CSV Data File
- Navigate to the relevant area in Admin e.g. Departments, Categories, Projects or Users and click the Import button.
- You will be presented with the Import box for the designated area.
2. Click Browse. Find and select the CSV file.
Please note: The only supported import format is CSV.
3. Change the File Contains Header Row drop-down to Yes or No as desired.
- You will see a preview of your imported data.
4. Once you are happy, click Import to add the data to your account.
