Where you have multiple custom fields set up for an area in ExpenseIn, you can change the order of how the custom fields display in that area.

How to reorder custom fields

To reorder the display of a group of custom fields set up for an area in ExpenseIn, complete the following steps:

1. Go to Admin > Custom Fields.

2. Click the Reorder button next to the relevant group of custom fields.

3. Use the arrow icon to drag and drop the custom fields to change the order of their display.

4. Click Update to save your changes.

Viewing the reordered custom fields

Once you have reordered a group of custom fields set up for an area, the new order will display in the custom field screen.

To view your changes in the area of ExpenseIn the custom fields are set up for, you must navigate to the relevant area to see the order display change.

E.g. If you have reordered the custom fields set up on all expenses, go to create a new expense to see the order of the custom fields.

Note: You cannot reorder the display of existing fields in each area of ExpenseIn, you can only reorder a group of custom fields set up for an area.
