Redirecting approval is useful when an approver is unable to approve the expenses (e.g. annual leave or similar).
Note: Users with Account Administrator permission can also enable the Out of Office feature on behalf of approvers from the Admin area of the account. This feature will prevent the need to manually redirect expenses for an approver when they're out of office.
To redirect expenses manually, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the Finance area.
2. In the Pending Expenses section, click the Awaiting Approval subheading.
3. Locate the expense you need to redirect approval for by using the Filter options available.
4. Click the user's name to view the submission and expense details.
5. Click the three dots icon on the expense line, then select Redirect Approval from the drop-down.
Note: If you need to redirect approval for more than one expense, tick the checkboxes next to each expense or against the user's entire submission. You can then click the Actions button and select Redirect Approval from the drop-down.
6. In the Redirect Approval window, select the approval flow you want to redirect the expenses to from the drop-down and click Continue.

The expenses will now move to the selected approval flow.
Note: If you're a Finance user, but are also an approver for an approval flow, you can also redirect expenses awaiting your approval from the Approval area of your account (if the Additional Setting is enabled in the Admin area which supports this feature).
