If your company has applied the policy rule Postcode locations, the system will check that the postcodes entered for your journeys are valid. Your company can set this rule to block or warn you when submitting an expense with invalid postcodes. Postcodes are validated using Google Maps.

In a few cases, new postcodes can be flagged as invalid. Be sure to check that the postcodes you have entered are correct before you submit your mileage expenses.

If you are sure the postcodes entered are all valid, but are not being recognised within ExpenseIn, and providing your company policy is set to warn, you can still submit your expense by clicking Continue to the policy warning that is displayed.

If the rule is set to block, the system will not allow you to submit the mileage expense, and you will need to get in touch with your company's Finance team to ask them how best to proceed.
