There may be occasions where your Expense Card or card details are lost or stolen. If this happens, you must take action to ensure the card cannot be used by an unauthorised person.

Temporarily Lost Card

If the Expense Card has been temporarily misplaced (e.g., believed to have been left at home), it can be deactivated by the cardholder or a Manage Cards user whilst it's being located.

Deactivating the card prevents it from being used but allows it to be reactivated once it’s been found by the cardholder or a Manage Cards user. After reactivation, the card can be used for purchases as normal.

Confirmed Lost or Stolen Card

If it's certain that the Expense Card or its details have been lost or stolen, it should be cancelled immediately by the cardholder or a Manage Cards user to prevent any fraudulent activity. Once the card has been cancelled, a Manage Cards user will need to order a new card.

Note: A Manage Cards user can also replace a Physical or Virtual Expense Card and select 'Lost' or 'Stolen' as the reason for replacement. Doing so will automatically cancel the existing card and order a new one for the cardholder.

If a card or its details have been lost or stolen, the cardholder should review recent transactions to ensure they are legitimate. Any unrecognised transactions must be reported to a Manage Cards user in the company's Finance team so that a dispute can be raised if necessary.
