Users with the Manage Cards user permission can view all cardholders' Expense Card spending controls at any time via the ExpenseIn web portal.
Assigning a spending control to your cardholders allows you to limit and manage their spending.
Note: You must first create a spending control before assigning it to your cardholders.
To view the spending control assigned to a cardholder, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the Cards module and click Manage.
2. In the Expense Cards section, click the Cardholders subheading.
3. Find the cardholder you'd like to view spending control details for. You can use the available Filter options to help with this if required.
4. Click the three dots icon against the cardholder and select View Spending Controls from the drop-down.
5. In the pop-up window, review the details of the assigned spending control, including the remaining spend.
Spending Control Name - the name of the assigned spending control.
Categories - the categories allowed or blocked when using the card.
Countries - the countries allowed or blocked when using the card.
Spending Days - the days on which the card can be used.
Spending Limits - the configured spending limits, including:
Amount - the maximum spend allowed.
Interval - the frequency of the limit (e.g. Daily, Weekly or Monthly).
Categories - the categories the spending limit applies to.
Note: If a spending control has overlapping spending limits, the most restrictive spending control will apply.
6. Click Close once you've finished reviewing the spending control.
Additional Information
If any of the spending control details need to be amended, you can edit the spending control.
To assign a different spending control to a cardholder, you can edit the cardholder.
Cardholders can view their own Expense Card spending controls via the ExpenseIn web portal or mobile app.
Subscription Card spending controls are assigned directly to the card rather than the cardholder and can be viewed by Manage Cards users when editing the card itself, or by the card owner via the web portal.
